Recent work

We recently completed:

• regulatory impact statement to support remaking the Infringements Regulations and Fines Reform Regulations
• regulatory impact assessment to support remaking the Country Fire Authority Regulations
• regulatory impact statement for the remaking of the Forests (Fire Protection) Regulations
• advice on reducing plastic pollution associated with bird hunting

In 2023/24 we completed these projects:

• red-tape reduction measurement of recent reforms at PrimeSafe
• regulatory impact advice on a new Dingo Unprotection Order
• regulatory impact statement of remaking the Wildlife (Game) Regulations 2024
• advice on the regulatory impacts of new National Parks Regulations
• design regulations for the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements for building practitioners and plumbers, and prepared the Regulatory Impact Statement
• impact assessment for amendments to the Environmental Protection Act
• cost-benefit assessment of expansion of the bushfire-prone area in the ACT
• strengthening National Parks regulations in NSW
• providing advice to VCAT on making new rules for remuneration of administrators
